Two posts in one week. Wow. Crazy. I know. But I wanted to share some pictures I took of the Sunflower fields while we were at Ijams. They are blooming and there are 70 acres of them. So enjoy the pictures.
I’m late again posting my Project 52 photo for this week. I’m a bit behind because we have been “snowed in” around here for the past few days. And its thrown my regular routine off a bit. So I’ve not been on the computer for “blog” purposes for very long each day.
Last weekend was Valentine’s day and my lovely hubby surprised me with a dozen roses and some of my favorite chocolates.
It’s another month to set goals. Another month to organize my house. Another month to accomplish that which I set out to do. It’s also the month that I am supposed to finish up my book in order to make it available to you, my faithful readers. It’s crazy as I think about all that I have accomplished and yet all that needs done. I’m a bit behind on the book but my hubby says you want it done right the first time and not just thrown together. Your readers will understand. Plus I have been bombarded by other book ideas as well as going back to some original ones. I’ve written some poetry and some other just lines of words that I’m not sure what to do with yet. I’ve got kids books that I think I will be getting Geek Girl to illustrate for me. That should be a lot of fun. Keep watching. I will be posting updates throughout the month about the current book that will be coming out as well as anything else I may end up doing. I am also working on organizing and planning out next school year that starts in about 5 weeks for us. So much to do. Just thinking about it makes me tired. lol But I am really excited about things to do. I need to keep myself busy and get our home organized.
This past weekend was encouraging. We got the van cleaned out and started sorting through the toys that we packed and brought from South Carolina when we moved. Of course there is going to be a lot more we donate because there is just so much and the kids don’t really play with them anymore so no use packing them around with us. I found another great book store similar to one I left behind that will buy my old books from me in exchange for cash or store credit. They accept movies and games too. So it is well worth it because we are constantly buying books and this is one way to keep that cost down. I’ve got more to take to them soon.
I’ve got some reviews coming up soon for The Old Schoolhouse Review Crew. So keep watching for those. Right now Boo has a Disney music CD playing and I’ve had to stop three times in order to keep myself from typing out Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious…. (not sure I spelled that right). There I did it. lol I knew it would happen. It was bound too. I have a hard time not typing what I am hearing many times. But who can resist music from Mary Poppins. It’s a family favorite here. I like musicals it could be because I always had a secret desire to star on Broadway. I’m serious but I’ve always been a bit shy so it may not have happened anyway.
Well that is all I want to chat about today. Come on back tomorrow and see what I am talking about then. I’m trying to blog everyday in July.
Now I will leave you with one of my favorite nature photo’s I took years ago. Enjoy.
I have been saddened that they closed Picnik on the 19th of this month but I was ecstatic to find PicMonkey which does many of the same things except for collages but it looks like they will be adding that feature very soon. So I played around with this new free online photo editing program and I really like it. It’s easy to use like Picnik and it’s a lot of fun as well. So this weeks has been edited via PicMonkey enjoy.
