I Am

Through Bible stories, short devotions, and prayers, children discover the meaning of each name and how it relates to their lives. As they develop understanding of God’s character and His love for them, children will grow to know, love, and trust the great I Am more and more.

Those who know your name put their trust in you. —Psalm 9:10

My Review:

This is a beautifully illustrated book full of devotions and stories from the Bible. It will help you kids know who God is and why they can turn to and trust him.  It has 40 names of God along with a story that shares that name, a devotional to help you explain it to your child as well as other verses that will help you explore that name in further detail. There are also short prayers that you can pray with your child.

The book is hard back which makes it sturdy for younger kids. The layout is really nice because it can be used as a devotional you do with your child. Which is something I recommend doing with this book.  Some of the stories are slightly longer than others so younger children may not have the attention span needed for this book. That being the case I would recommend this for a child between the ages of 6-10.  You can read it along with your child that is on the younger end of the scale or your older child can read it on their own.

It’s a great book and would make a good gift. The images are really beautifully done by a talented artist. Overall this would be a good buy.
