An Uncertain Choice

Due to her parents’ promise at her birth, Lady Rosemarie has been prepared to become a nun on the day she turns eighteen. Then, a month before her birthday, a friend of her father’s enters the kingdom and proclaims her parents’ will left a second choice-if Rosemarie can marry before the eve of her eighteenth year, she will be exempt from the ancient vow.

Before long, Rosemarie is presented with the three most handsome and brave knights in the land. But when the competition for her heart seemingly results in a knight playing foul, she begins to wonder if the cloister is the best place after all. If only one of the knights-the one who appears the most guilty-had not already captured her heart.

This was my first book to read and review by Jody Hedlund. I really like her writing. The story jumps right in and immediately grabbed my attention. Even though this is a book for teens/young adults I enjoyed it very much. The story was fresh, fun and adventurous. I mean most girls love to hear stories about a princess being courted by her Knight in shining armor and this story has THREE dashing knights in shining armor.  It’s a fun story, well written and I hope she continues the story of the other knights in her next books.

The book is a great weekend read. You can read it in a day if you don’t have other things going on. You really will not want to put it down. I look forward to more stories by Jody Hedlund and I highly recommend this to all teen girls who enjoy a good, clean historical romance book.

Keep in mind this is fiction and as such things may not be “realistic” but they are entertaining.

You can purchase a copy of this book via Christianbook.com for $9.49.
