A Moment in Time by Tracie Peterson {Review}

210594: A Moment in Time, Lone Star Brides Series #2 A Moment in Time, Lone Star Brides Series #2
By Tracie Peterson / Bethany HouseTexas seems to be an answer to Alice’s prayers, and when she has the opportunity to relocate to a ranch near Dallas, Robert Barnett captures her attention. Unlike any man Alice has ever known, Robert doesn’t worry about the obstacles that stand in their way–and he hardly seems to notice the scar she bears.

But there are storm clouds gathering; devastating information about her family comes to light, threatening Alice’s peaceful sanctuary. Disillusioned, Alice must learn to place her trust in God as she seeks a measure of peace for her future…and for her heart.

This is the second book in the Lone Star Brides series. I honestly couldn’t wait to read it. It continues where the first book left off. However, it could be read as a stand alone but since the previous story is so good I recommend reading both.  210594

I love that this story follows Alice Chesterfield’s story. I had felt when she was introduced in the first book that there was more to her story and I love that she was the subject of the second book. We still get to see more about Marty and Jake and how their relationship continues to develop. However, we get to see more into Alice’s character and find out so much more about her.

Alice is a young woman who has fears and desires just like anyone else but she has to learn to trust God to lead her in the right direction and stop trying to take matters into her own hands. Sound familiar? Sounds like something many of us need to learn.  I really enjoyed this story and look forward to the next book in the series.

This book is available at for $9.99.
