My Review:

This was a really fun book to read. Set during the time after the War for Independence and before the Civil War this follows the life of Tamsen LittleJohn who is being forced to marry against her731494 will in order to prosper her step-father. As she runs from this prospect of a miserable life the man who helps her begins to wiggle his way into her heart. As she is running from her step-father and would be suitor you will find Tamsen thrown right into the middle of a battle between Franklin and North Carolina.

The story caught my attention immediately and the fact that the background of the story is another part of our own American heritage just adds to it. The story is well written and fun to read. I picked it up having a hard time putting it down. I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys Historical Fiction and if you leave in East Tennessee or western North Carolina you would enjoy hearing a bit of history about your local area.

Head on over and grab this book up. It’s available in both eBook ($7.89) and paperback ($10.99) at ChristianBook.com.
